About Us

FOUNDED IN 1926

Built on the site of community swimming hole Lotus Pond (c. 1840) – a mill pond which supplied power to Hutton’s Mill (now Hedgerow Theatre) – Rose Valley Swimming Pool was established in 1926.  One of the oldest clubs in Delaware County, the Pool is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rose Valley has three pools to accommodate swimmers of all ages.  The one-foot deep baby pool is surrounded by benches and adjoins a grassy lawn with baby swings.  The middle pool is two feet deep with shallow steps at one end and a depth of 4.5 feet at the far end, which is just a few steps from the main lifeguard stand.  Our big pool is 30 yards long, with a dedicated lap lane and a competition-grade diving board.

Surrounding the pool is a concrete deck with lounge and upright chairs.  Beyond the deck, our lawn is furnished with picnic tables and gas grills and bisected by Vernon Run and its population of minnows, tadpoles, and frogs.  A sun deck above the stream is a popular site for playing cards and sharing snacks and secrets.  Up a few steps on a path from the sun deck and the pool entrance, men’s and women’s bathhouses offer showers, baby changing stations, changing rooms and toilets. WIFI is available in the pool area and there’s a snack bar in the Guard House.

Rose Valley members enjoy use of four tennis courts – two hard courts and two Har-Tru.  A shady pavilion provides a place to rest, chat and watch matches. Our tennis pro offers lessons and clinics.  The Club welcomes new members, both residents and non-residents of Rose Valley Borough.  Located just a 15 minute drive from Philadelphia airport, a 5 minute drive from Media, and a short walk from either the Rose Valley or Wallingford Regional Rail station, the Club is convenient and welcomes all to join today!

Rose Valley Swim & Tennis Club Rules

Our rules have been made to protect the safety of our members and guests and to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all. The rules are posted at the pool, and it is the duty of the staff to enforce them. The Club Manager may at their discretion penalize, dismiss from the pool area or suspend membership of any person(s) who violate(s) the rules.

The Board of Directors retains the right to end a membership for due cause at any time. Review the rules with your children so they clearly understand what is required of them, and please support our efforts to enforce all the rules.
